Full disclosure: I want to let everyone know I am moving away from Infusionsoft. They changed the terms of their partner agreement (Again !) in September, and I chose not to continue as an official partner. We are still supporting some Infusionsoft customers and expect this to continue.

As far as their upgrades, I haven't yet seen anything that really addresses their more fundamental product limitations. They seem to be focusing on making prettier users interfaces, but not on addressing the foundation. There are more new things promised, so we'll see.

My latest review is 2 years old, and I probably won't update it. As far as I know, most of the things are still fairly accurate:

Sorry about the problems you had Julie.

One thing, the Infusionsoft plug-in does work with Outlook 2007. I use it everyday! It's not perfect, but some of that is Microsoft's fault.

My partner and myself purchased Infusionsoft for the marketing capabilities, but boy did we experience some issues. Here they are. First we have 2007 outlook version, which is not compatible with Infusionsoft if you are going to write emails through it. They should have disclosed to us that they developed this program to be compatible with 2003. I found out about this after we had bought it. Second, Very buggy, has slowed our systems down tremendously. In addition, you can't write an encripted email for Privacy through Infusionsoft. Last, the trainer had attitude and even though we paid for and had many hours of training left, she directed us to the "Help" bar or to tech support to be trained on something she had only explained once. She told us that she had already trained us on that and basically she wasn't going to do it again. We still had 30 min left on our training call but she wouldn't review what we really needed. What is that about? If we hadn't already paid and shifted all of our client base over to Infusionsoft, we would cancel with them immediately.

Hi, I realize this post was almost a year ago, but I am interested in talking to you or reading the article you read about using both Hubspot and Infusionsoft. We are current Hubspot users, but are looking to use Infusionsoft and need insight on how these two products are complimentary.

Just left you a voicemail... have a coupole of projects.

1. Create Infusionsoft Webform that prepopulates date from up to 15 fields - a few of them are custom fields - 2 drop down and 2 list box

2. Create "Buyers Guide" Directory using data from Infustionsoft... our current one is done manually where I have to export csv file; import to mysql on my website and php site updates... sample is a www.coffeetalkyellowpages.com - want same functionality (search by name, city, biz type) but want it much more attractive.

3. May want help in defining how to automate turning an Opportunity with custom fields into an order... not sure yet.

Look forward to speaking with you...

I just got done with a very expensive unsuccessful trial with Infusionsoft. After they took may initial $2000 and began the $250 a month fee for life and I agreed that everything was unrefundable and they did not have to get the system up and running I 3 months later dropped the service. The over promise under deliver, meet with you only once a week find reasons for the system not to work with quick books, act and purchased customer lists. But if you upgrade to their program it will work better. Lots of future promises, blue sky. Look at any other program before this one.

thank you that was very helpful! I will consider using them now because I do use the shopping cart primarily for my business. Hasoffers.com by the way, has the WORST customer service ever if you are doing a trial period. They only cater to the members that pay every month. I strongly would suggest for anyone not to use them to try out unless you want to automatically pay for their services.

<a href="#comment-3364" rel="nofollow">@Dissatisfied Customer</a>
I'd remind you that <a href="http://www.greasedskid.com/?s=open+rates" rel="nofollow">Open Rates are a horrible way to measure email effectiveness.</a> Open rates just don't measure what you think they do! And, this is true of <strong>every</strong> email service provide -- Not just Infusionsoft.

What you want to do is measure conversions -- That's what you care about anyway. Do you have offers with links inside your messages? Are your prospects clicking the links and converting?

Double opt-ins will not prevent a message from going to your junk email folder! Instead double opt-ins are a way to improve deliverablity based on agreements between large Internet Service Providers. It helps the message get to your email client. If your email client decides to, it can still put the message in the junk folder.

I'm sorry Infusionsoft and your efforts didn't work for you, but it sounds to me like you don't understand email marketing and how to create effective messages. Infusionsoft can't do this for you. I don't mean to be harsh, but from what you said, I think you'd see similar results from any other email marketing provider.

<a href="#comment-3331" rel="nofollow">@Mary Malaszek</a> That's why I wrote my <a href="http://www.greasedskid.com/index.php/infusionsoft/infusionsoft-review/" rel="nofollow">Extensive Review of Infusionsoft</a>

It works well for some companies and situations, but not as well for others.

And, there's no "magic." Online marketing takes some real work and specialized knowledge to get results.

If you are thinking of the CRM-only, then yes, there are less expensive CRM's (In fact, I frequently recommend some to clients.) But, when you consider the eMail marketing capabilities that come included, I consider Infusionsoft to be something of a bargain!

Well, I used Infusion”SUCKS” for about 2yrs before I finally gave up. Over that period of time I went to numerous trainings both in person and online. The bottom line was that no matter what steps I took to get people to open my emails, they never did and from my customer service calls found out they were usually in the junk folder. I don’t know the reasons because the support team always had pat answers that never seemed to make sense to me. My last effort to make the system work failed miserably I sent out another batch of over 200 emails both single and double opt in and only had a handful opened. However, I did receive a number of automated SPAM complaints. The last straw was when I went to clean out my junk email folder and saw the copy that get’s sent to the sender. I had made sure that I double opted in even after all the work spent to minimize this result for my clients, Infusionsoft couldn’t even make it to my in box.

While they talk a good game, I wouldn’t recommend this product to anyone. There are just too many other providers out there that can actually deliver. Unfortunately I learned the hard way at a very significant cost but, you don’t.

Bottom line for me on Infusionsoft, is that you make a large initial investment, and after you find out its limitations, etc. You are already invested $2000. And Infusionsoft refuses to give any refunds. Then there is the monthly fees of $299, which is way overpriced compared to other alternatives-- considering the limited benefits. While some techs are knowledge, others are not and it is difficult to reach anyone. The sales folks way over promise. I would not recommend this to anyone who is looking for CRM.

Hi!

It's some time since you wrote about incorporating SMS with Infusionsoft.

Since then, Main Street Marketing Machines - Fusion incorporate SMS in their autoresonder sequence ("I have just sent you an email about {subject Matter}". Any news on latest developments?

Being Australian based, this can pose a problem with local proviers.

<a href="#comment-3128" rel="nofollow">@Alexander Peterson</a>

WorkForceTrack looks like an interesting product. Still, I don't think "experience in the market" is a relevant way to compare CRM's. Infusionsoft has been available for at least 4-5 years, and they claim 6,500 business customers.

To choose a CRM, I recommend that you have clear business objectives, and then see which CRM is the best fit! Get in touch with us if you need help with this process: http://www.greasedskid.com/index.php/contact_us/.

Hello, I see Infusionsoft is pretty good CRM software, however in my point of they do not have enough experience in the market. Our company considers WorkForceTrack as the best CRM solution and have been using it for several years without any srious problem. http://workforcetrack.om
